Another Chance Animal Welfare League was founded in 2005 by six people with a vision, dedicated to help healthy, adoptable pets have another chance at a forever home.

We are located 10 miles east of Redding, in beautiful northern California, at 9384 D Deschutes Road, Palo Cedro CA 96073, phone 530-547-7387 (PETS), or e-mail acawl.inc@gmail.com

It is our goal to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves, those animals who have no voice, because each healthy and adoptable animal deserves a home and another chance.  This organization was formed in memory of Abby, a shelter dog who deserved another chance, and didn’t get it.

We hope to be able to build a “no-kill” shelter for adoptable animals someday, so there is a place for them until their new, forever homes are found.

Our animals are temperament tested, health evaluated and spayed or neutered to reduce the number of unwanted, abandoned or abused pets.

Our goals include:

1. To provide forever homes for as many adoptable pets as possible.
2. To educate the community about the importance of preventing   unwanted litters through a spay and neuter program.
3. To eventually build a facility where no adoptable pet will be euthanized.
4  To bring the awareness of the needs of pets to the forefront of the community, often through temporary foster programs in the event of disasters, or personal tragedy.

Can you help us?  We have many ways you can help!

This is what we are up against and why spay and neuter

programs are so important.
